Jeffry French was the son of Arthur French and Sarah Burke.2 He married Catherine Lloyd, daughter of Richard Lloyd.1 He died on 14 May 1754.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 20 May 1754.1
He owned an estate in County Roscommon and a plantation in Jamaica.1 He was a practising Barrister-at-Law.1 He lived at Argyle Buildings, London, EnglandG.1 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1724.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Milborne Port between 1741 and 1747.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tavistock in 1754.1 His last will was dated between 24 February 1754 and 14 May 1754.1
