Very Rev. Le Bel Holbrooke Edward ffrench was born on 22 March 1871.1 He was the son of Reverend George ffrench and Lizzie Jane Le Bel.2 He married Sydney Constance Violet Stanistreet, daughter of Henry Dawson Stanistreet and Elizabeth Isabella Weld, on 15 April 1898 at Scarriff, Ireland.1,3 He died on 23 August 1942 at age 71.1
He was educated at Trent College, Trent, Derbyshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Dean of Clonfert and Prov of Kilmacduagh between 1934 and 1942.1
