William Addis Fagan was born on 15 December 1832.1 He was the son of William Trant Fagan and Mary Addis.2 He married Frances Mahony, daughter of Daniel Mahony, on 16 November 1871.1 He died on 14 March 1890 at age 57.1
He gained the rank of Captain in the 12th Royal Lancers.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carlow between 1869 and 1875.1
