     He was a civil engineer and inventor.²

     Philip David Scott-Moncrieff was born on 27 February 1882.² He was the son of William Dundas Scott-Moncrieff and Emily Mary de Gilbert.^3,2 He married Grace Isabella Florence Josephine Eustace, daughter of Hardy Eustace and Anne Duckett, on 3 February 1906.¹ He died on 8 February 1911 at age 28.¹
     He was assistant keeper of Egyptian and Assurian Antiquities, British Museum.²
