     Simon Harding Dring was born on 7 March 1894.¹ He was the son of Simon Dring and Mary Louise Finch.² He married Eva Marjorie Worrall, daughter of John Edward Worrall, on 17 August 1922.¹ He died on 2 June 1961 at age 67.¹
     He was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, England^G.¹ He lived at Mount Patrick, Glanmire, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. Robert Harding Dring was born on 30 June 1896 at Cork, County Cork, Ireland.¹ He was the son of Simon Dring and Mary Louise Finch.² He married, firstly, Louise Maud Taylor Hitchmough, daughter of Ernest Chambers Hitchmough, on 30 April 1924.¹ He married, secondly, Eleanor Mary Picton-Turbervill, daughter of Charles Grenville Picton-Turbervill and Ethel Lucy Egremont, circa 1951 at Nice, France.³ He died on 12 January 1958 at age 61 at Hastings, Sussex, England.¹
     Lt.-Cdr. Robert Harding Dring also went by the nick-name of Robin.¹ He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He lived at Glenburn, Glanmire, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Patricia Louise Dring was born on 22 March 1925.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Robert Harding Dring and Louise Maud Taylor Hitchmough.^2,1 She married David George Thornton, son of George Philip Thornton, on 10 July 1952.¹
     She was in the Women's Royal Naval Service during the Second World War.¹ From 10 July 1952, her married name became Thornton.

     George Philip Thornton lived at The Chestnuts, Eltham, Kent, England^G.¹
