John de Guerin Dill was born on 28 August 1916.1 He was the son of Field Marshal Sir John Greer Dill and Ada Maud Le Mottée.2 He married Heather Avice Fenton Falkner, daughter of Harold Arthur Falkner, in 1942.1 He died on 22 July 1971 at age 54.1
