     Richard Welsted Croker was born on 23 November 1841 at Clonakilty, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Eyre Coote Croker and Frances Welsted.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Fraser, daughter of Samuel Fraser, in November 1873.¹ He married, secondly, Bula Perton Edmondson in 1914.¹ He died on 29 April 1922 at age 80.¹
     Richard Welsted Croker also went by the nick-name of 'Boss' Croker.¹ He was educated at U.S.A.^G.¹ He held the office of Alderman of New York between 1868 and 1870.¹ He was Coroner in 1873.¹ He was Leader of Tammany Hall between 1884 and 1903, and was notorious as one of its 'Bosses'.¹ He was New York City Chamberlain between 1889 and 1890.¹ He lived at The Wigwam, Palm Beach, Florida, U.S.A.^G.¹ He was owner of racehorses, and winner of Derby, Irish Derby, Curragh and Baldoyle Derby with Orby (1907) and the English Guineas with Rhodora (Orby's half-sister) in 1908.¹ He lived at Glencairn, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Elizabeth Fraser is the daughter of Samuel Fraser.² She married Richard Welsted Croker, son of Eyre Coote Croker and Frances Welsted, in November 1873.¹
     From November 1873, her married name became Croker.

     Howard Croker was born on 5 April 1882.¹ He was the son of Richard Welsted Croker and Elizabeth Fraser.²

     Florence Geneveve Croker is the daughter of Richard Welsted Croker and Elizabeth Fraser.²
