     Catherine Maria Wheler was born in 1734.² She is the daughter of Reverend Granville Wheler and Lady Catherine Maria Hastings.¹ She married Reverend James Stuart-Menteth, son of William Menteth and Janet Murray, on 15 April 1765.² She died in 1793.²
     From 15 April 1765, her married name became Menteth. From 12 March 1770, her married name became Stuart-Menteth.²
