     Sir Philip Henry Devitt, 1st and last Bt. was born on 26 January 1876.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Lane Devitt, 1st Bt. and Fanny Theodora Pye-Smith.² He married Dorothy Maud Hall, daughter of Reverend Frederick John Hall, on 22 February 1919.¹ He died on 5 June 1947 at age 71.¹
     He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was Chairman of the Board Governors and founder of Devitt and Moore Nautical College Pangbourne.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Devitt, of Pangbourne, co. Berks [U.K.] on 25 June 1931.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire.¹ On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Reverend Frederick John Hall lived at St. Just, Northaw, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Dorothy Maud Hall was the daughter of Reverend Frederick John Hall.² She married Sir Philip Henry Devitt, 1st and last Bt., son of Sir Thomas Lane Devitt, 1st Bt. and Fanny Theodora Pye-Smith, on 22 February 1919.¹ She died on 25 February 1969.¹
     From 22 February 1919, her married name became Devitt.

     Theodora Joan Devitt was born on 15 December 1919.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Philip Henry Devitt, 1st and last Bt. and Dorothy Maud Hall.² She died on 8 October 1999 at age 79.¹

     Elizabeth Anne Devitt was born on 31 August 1921.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Philip Henry Devitt, 1st and last Bt. and Dorothy Maud Hall.² She married Vice-Admiral Sir Harry Philpot Koelle on 28 April 1948.¹
     From 28 April 1948, her married name became Koelle. She lived in 2003 at Pippins, Long Burton, Dorset, England^G.¹

     Vice-Admiral Sir Harry Philpot Koelle married Elizabeth Anne Devitt, daughter of Sir Philip Henry Devitt, 1st and last Bt. and Dorothy Maud Hall, on 28 April 1948.¹ He died in 1980.¹
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹

     Victoria Anne Koelle was born on 6 November 1949.¹ She is the daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir Harry Philpot Koelle and Elizabeth Anne Devitt.² She married Andrew James Carter in 1980.¹
     From 1980, her married name became Carter.

     Andrew James Carter married Victoria Anne Koelle, daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir Harry Philpot Koelle and Elizabeth Anne Devitt, in 1980.¹

     Philip Harry Carter was born in 1976.¹ He is the son of Andrew James Carter and Victoria Anne Koelle.²
