     Sir William Temple, 5th Bt. was born in April 1694.¹ He was the son of William Temple and Mary Green.¹ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Paxton, daughter of William Paxton, in May 1718.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Ethersey, daughter of Hugh Ethersey, in November 1731.¹ He died on 10 April 1760, without surviving male issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Temple, of Stowe, Buckinghamshire [E., 1611] on 13 September 1749.¹
