     Major John Pigott was the son of Sir Robert Pigott and Anne St. Leger.2 He married Martha Colclough, daughter of Sir Thomas Colclough and Martha Loftus.3 He died between 1 October 1646 and 2 October 1646 at IrelandG, killed in battle by royalists, he being either pro-Parliment or at any rate reluctant to oppose Parliamentary forces in Ireland.1,3
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) between 1634 and 1646.3 They also had five daughters.3 He lived at Grangebegg, County Laois, Ireland.3 He lived at Dysart, County Laois, IrelandG.1
