Dixie Coddington was the son of Nicholas Coddington and Mary Tenison.2 He married Catherine Burgh, daughter of Thomas Burgh and Anne Downes, in 1754.1 He died in 1794.1

Brig.-Gen. Christopher Robert Ingham Brooke was born on 4 July 1869.2 He was the son of Venerable Joshua Ingham Brooke.1 He married Irene Spencer Coddington, daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Blaney Coddington and Eleanor Bertha Bloxsome, on 5 October 1899.1 He died on 27 January 1948 at age 78.1
He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches five times.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1915.1 He held the office of Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1917.1
