Alfred Henry John Cochrane was born on 26 January 1865.1 He was the son of Reverend David Crawford Cochrane and Jane Elizabeth Tomlinson.2 He married Ethel Isobel Virginia Noble, daughter of Sir Andrew Noble of Ardmore, 1st Bt. and Margery Durham Campbell, on 25 July 1895.1 He died in 1948, without issue.1
