Sir Roger Mostyn, 1st Bt. was born circa 1620.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Mostyn and Elizabeth Whitlock.2 He married, thirdly, Lumley Coytmore, daughter of unknown Coytmore.1 He married, firstly, Prudence Lumley, daughter of Sir Martin Lumley, 1st Bt., in 1642.1 He married, secondly, Hon. Mary Bulkeley, daughter of Thomas Bulkeley, 1st Viscount Bulkeley of Cashel and Blanche Coytmore, before 1651.1 He died on 4 October 1690.1
He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1637.1 He held the office of Governor of Flint, as a Royalist during the Civil War.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Montgomeryshire from 1660 to 1661.1 He was appointed Knight on 5 June 1660.1 He was created 1st Baronet Mostyn, of Mostyn, co. Flint [England] on 3 August 1660.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Flintshire from 1665 to 1666.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Caernarvonshire from 1666 to 1667.1
