     Rear Admiral Arthur Desmond Cassidi was born on 26 January 1925.¹ He was the son of Commander Robert Alexander Cassidi and Clare Florinda Alexander.² He married, firstly, Dorothy Sheelagh Marie Scott, daughter of Canon Robert Francis Scott, on 15 April 1950.¹ He married, secondly, Dr. Deborah Bliss in 1982.³ He died on 10 October 2019 at age 94.³
