     Barbara Burrowes was born on 10 August 1898.¹ She is the daughter of Major Sidney Robert Burrowes and Adeline Jane Sibley.²

     Lt.-Col. Algernon St. Leger Burrowes was born on 5 December 1847.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas Robert Fiennes Forth Burrowes and Amelia Wintle.² He married Fanny Henrietta Hoare, daughter of W. Barry Hoare, on 22 June 1875.¹ He died on 18 December 1925 at age 78.¹
     He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.¹ He fought in the Sudan Campaign between 1884 and 1885, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Marines Light Infantry.¹ He was Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1911.¹ He was Recruiting Staff Officer between 1916 and 1918.¹ He lived at Moorside, Budleigh Salterton, Devon, England^G.¹

     W. Barry Hoare held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Monkstown, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Fanny Henrietta Hoare was the daughter of W. Barry Hoare.² She married Lt.-Col. Algernon St. Leger Burrowes, son of Reverend Thomas Robert Fiennes Forth Burrowes and Amelia Wintle, on 22 June 1875.¹ She died on 13 December 1925.¹
     From 22 June 1875, her married name became Burrowes.¹

     Elsa Burrowes was born on 9 December 1877.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Algernon St. Leger Burrowes and Fanny Henrietta Hoare.² She married John Hawkes Cornock, son of John Hawkes Cornock, on 21 February 1906.¹ She died in 1935, without issue.¹
     From 21 February 1906, her married name became Cornock.¹

     Esme Rosalind Burrowes was born on 10 August 1886.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Algernon St. Leger Burrowes and Fanny Henrietta Hoare.² She married Edmund Lytton Skinner, son of Colonel Monier Skinner, on 26 January 1908.¹
     From 26 January 1908, her married name became Skinner.

     Colonel Monier Skinner gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Edmund Lytton Skinner is the son of Colonel Monier Skinner.² He married Esme Rosalind Burrowes, daughter of Lt.-Col. Algernon St. Leger Burrowes and Fanny Henrietta Hoare, on 26 January 1908.¹
     He had two sons.¹ He was with the Indian Police.¹

     Lt.-Col. Alexander Leslie Scott Burrowes was born on 29 July 1849.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas Robert Fiennes Forth Burrowes and Amelia Wintle.² He married Alice Sophia Wintle, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Edmund Wintle, on 24 October 1876.¹ He died on 16 November 1927 at age 78.¹
     In 1879 served in South Africa.¹ He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet-Colonel in the Royal Marine Artillery.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Edmund Wintle lived at Park House, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Bengal Staff Corps.¹
