Colonel Sir Richard Morres, 8th Bt. was the son of Nicholas Morres and Susanna Talbot.2 He died in 1774, killed by a scaffold falling at the coronation of King Louis XVI, unmarried.1
He gained the rank of Colonel in the French Army.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Morres, of Knockagh, co. Tipperary [I., 1631] on 26 April 1758.1
