Thomas Hardman Brereton was born on 23 January 1866.1 He was the son of Colonel Thomas Sadleir Brereton and Frances Gertrude Hardman.2 He married Avereena Maud Biggs, daughter of Samuel Dickson Biggs, on 13 June 1904.1 He died on 23 December 1952 at age 86.1
He was educated at Galway Grammar School, Galway, County Galway, IrelandG.1 He was educated at GermanyG.1 He gained the rank of officer in the 45th Company, Imperial Yeomanry (Irish Hunt Contingent.)1 He was Boer War.1 In 1902 returned to S Africa.1 He was with the Rhodesian Civil Service between 1902 and 1910.1 He lived at Rathurles, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1
