     Beryl Eileen Townsend was born on 17 October 1902.¹ She is the daughter of Norman Ian Townsend and Eileen Cotello Hely.²

     Major Edward Neville Townsend was born on 1 July 1871.¹ He was the son of Edward Richard Townsend and Elizabeth Humphreys.² He married Marcia Sarah Cooper, daughter of Austin Damer Cooper and Caroline Anne Maria Bloxham, on 10 February 1902.¹ He died on 10 January 1938 at age 66, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Aberdeen University, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹ He fought in the Boer War, dangerously wounded.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches, severely wounded and became a POW.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1920 in the Duke of Wellington's Regiment, (invalided ).¹ He lived at Wayside, Delgany, County Wicklow, Ireland^G.¹

     Emily Esther Peter is the daughter of Reverend Mathew Daniel Peter.¹ She married George William Cooper, son of Reverend Austin Cooper and Margaret Armstrong, on 30 July 1862.¹
     From 30 July 1862, her married name became Cooper.¹

     Marcia Sarah Cooper was born on 12 February 1874.² She was the daughter of Austin Damer Cooper and Caroline Anne Maria Bloxham.² She married Major Edward Neville Townsend, son of Edward Richard Townsend and Elizabeth Humphreys, on 10 February 1902.¹ She died, without issue.²
     From 10 February 1902, her married name became Townsend.

     Perceval Crewe Townsend was born on 1 May 1873.¹ He was the son of Edward Richard Townsend and Elizabeth Humphreys.² He married Edyth Slade in July 1902.¹ He died in October 1936 at age 63.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the 13th Worcestershire Regiment.¹

     Edyth Slade married Perceval Crewe Townsend, son of Edward Richard Townsend and Elizabeth Humphreys, in July 1902.¹
     Her married name became Townsend.

     Edward Townsend was born on 5 November 1903.¹ He is the son of Perceval Crewe Townsend and Edyth Slade.²

     Warren Townsend was the son of Perceval Crewe Townsend and Edyth Slade.²

     Lt.-Cdr. John Walter Elmsley Townsend was born on 17 August 1876.¹ He was the son of Edward Richard Townsend and Elizabeth Humphreys.² He died on 19 November 1915 at age 39, unmarried.¹
     He fought in the Boer War, at the Relief of Ladysmith.¹ He retired from the military in 1910, with the rank of Lieutenant-Commander, late of the Royal Navy.¹ He lived at Culverden, Parkstone, Dorset, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War, in Crete.¹

     Evelyn Richard Townsend was born on 7 November 1877.¹ He was the son of Edward Richard Townsend and Elizabeth Humphreys.² He married Ellen Claude Zoë Clifton on 20 January 1909.¹ He died on 4 August 1925 at age 47.¹
     He was a Staff Surgeon.¹
