Geoffrey Morton Eden, 7th Baron Auckland was born on 17 February 1891.1 He was the son of Hon. George Eden and Amy Violet Hay-Drummond.1 He married Dorothy Ida Harvey, daughter of Reverend Francis Clyde Harvey, on 30 April 1919.1 He died on 21 June 1955 at age 64, without male issue.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 6th Service Battalion, East Surrey Battalion.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.2 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1919.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1940.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Auckland, of West Auckland, co. Durham [G.B., 1793] on 16 April 1941.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Auckland [I., 1789] on 16 April 1941.1 He was Governor of the Star and Garter Home for Disabled Servicemen.2
