     Maj.-Gen. Francis Eteson gained the rank of Major-General in the The Buffs.¹

     Mary Florence Eteson was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Francis Eteson.² She married Sir Gerald Bomford, son of Samuel Bomford and Francis Jane Winter, on 17 October 1881.¹ She died on 7 July 1939.¹
     From 17 October 1881, her married name became Bomford.

     Sir Hugh Bomford was born on 12 August 1882.¹ He was the son of Sir Gerald Bomford and Mary Florence Eteson.² He married Margaret Evelyn Ord, daughter of Dr. Reginald Whistler Ord, on 6 September 1916.¹ He died on 19 January 1939 at age 56.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was with the Indian Civil Service in 1906.¹ He was Settlement Officer for Daria State between 1913 and 1916.¹ He was Excise Commissioner of Central India in 1920.¹ He was Settlement Commissioner of Rewa State between 1921 and 1928.¹ He was member of the Board of Revenue of the United Provinces of India.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1931.¹ He was Chief Secretary to the Government of the United Provinces in 1933.¹ He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1938.¹ He was acting Governor of the Central Provinces of India in 1938.¹ He lived at Folkestone, Kent, England^G.¹

     Dr. Reginald Whistler Ord lived at Bell Close, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     Margaret Evelyn Ord is the daughter of Dr. Reginald Whistler Ord.² She married Sir Hugh Bomford, son of Sir Gerald Bomford and Mary Florence Eteson, on 6 September 1916.¹
     From 6 September 1916, her married name became Bomford. She lived in 1976 at Cott Cottage, Mapledurwell, Basingstoke, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Peter Bomford was born on 12 August 1921.¹ He was the son of Sir Hugh Bomford and Margaret Evelyn Ord.² He married Bryony MacIlwaine, daughter of Colonel Herbert MacIlwaine, on 14 August 1946.¹ He died on 22 November 2001 at age 80 at Katikati, New Zealand.³
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He emigrated arriving on 1939 emigrated to Rhodesia.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with 1st Gurkha Rifles.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st North Rhodesian Regiment.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.¹ He lived in 1976 at Marandellas, Zimbabwe^G.¹

     Colonel Herbert MacIlwaine gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹ He lived at Larkhill, Marandellas, Zimbabwe^G.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Bryony MacIlwaine is the daughter of Colonel Herbert MacIlwaine.² She married Peter Bomford, son of Sir Hugh Bomford and Margaret Evelyn Ord, on 14 August 1946.¹
     From 14 August 1946, her married name became Bomford.

     Patrick Peter Bomford was born on 16 March 1948.¹ He is the son of Peter Bomford and Bryony MacIlwaine.² He married Ann Kathleen de Kock, daughter of Johan Philip de Kock, on 9 March 1974.¹
     He was educated at Peterhouse School, Marondera, Zimbabwe^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Territorial Force, Rhodesian Army.¹ He graduated from Natal University, Natal, South Africa^G, in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science, Agriculture (B.Sc.)¹ He lived in 1976 at Marandellas, Zimbabwe^G.¹
