     Mary Stewart was the daughter of James Stewart.2 She married Lt.-Col. Edward William Montgomery-Cuninghame, son of Sir William James Montgomery-Cuninghame of Corsehill, 9th Bt. and Elizabeth Hartopp, on 16 November 1909.1 She died on 13 December 1947.1
     From 16 November 1909, her married name became Montgomery-Cuninghame.1

Sir John Anthony Cecil Tilley, son of Sir John Tilley and Susannah Montgomerie, on 7 September 1901.1 She died on 8 March 1949 at age 78, leaving issue.1
     From 7 September 1901, her married name became Tilley.

     Sir John Tilley married, firstly, Cecilia Frances Trollope, daughter of Thomas Anthony Trollope and Frances Milton, on 11 February 1839.2 He married, secondly, Mary Anne Partington, daughter of Thomas Partington and Penelope Ann Trollope, in 1850.3 He married, thirdly, Susannah Montgomerie, daughter of William Eglinton Montgomerie and Susanna Fraser Anderson, on 7 February 1861.3
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He was Secretary of the General Post Office.2

     Rt. Hon. Sir John Anthony Cecil Tilley was born on 21 January 1869 at St. George's Square, London, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Sir John Tilley and Susannah Montgomerie.3,4 He married Edith Honoria Montgomery-Cuninghame, daughter of Sir William James Montgomery-Cuninghame of Corsehill, 9th Bt. and Elizabeth Hartopp, on 7 September 1901.1 He died on 5 April 1952 at age 83.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1890 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was with the Foreign Office in 1893.2 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1894 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was Chief Clerk at the Foreign Office between 1913 and 1919.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1916.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1919.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1920.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Brazil between 1921 and 1925.2 He held the office of Ambassador to Japan between 1926 and 1931.2 He was awarded the Grand Cordon, Order of the Rising Sun of Japan in 1927.2 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.) in 1927.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1929.1 He wrote the book London to Tokyo.2 He co-authored the book The Foreign Office.2
