     Eric Crossley was born on 23 May 1878.1 He was the son of Sir William John Crossley, 1st Bt. and Mabel Gordon Anderson.2 He married Janet Boyd Merriman, daughter of Frank Merriman, on 30 June 1903.1 He died on 23 May 1949 at age 71.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the 11th Hussars (Special Reserves.)1 He gained the rank of First World War.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1

     From 30 June 1903, her married name became Crossley.

     Sir Christopher John Crossley, 3rd Bt. was born on 25 September 1931.1 He was the son of Lt.-Cdr. Nigel John Crossley and Iris Barter.2 He married, firstly, Carolyne Louise Sykes, daughter of Leslie Grey Sykes and Lois Walker, on 28 November 1959.1 He and Carolyne Louise Sykes were divorced in 1969.1 He married, secondly, Lesley A. Chamberlain, daughter of Dr. K. A. J. Chamberlain, in 1977.2 He died in 1989.1
     He was educated at Canford School, Wimborne, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Crossley, of Glenfield, Dunham Massey, co. Chester [U.K., 1909] on 22 November 1957.1

Nigel John Crossley was born on 29 May 1904.1 He was the son of Eric Crossley and Janet Boyd Merriman.2 He married, firstly, Iris Barter, daughter of Reverend Ewart Barter, on 1 February 1931.1 He married, secondly, Marjorie Gilley, daughter of John Gilley, on 17 March 1932.1 He died on 27 November 1940 at age 36, from wounds received while in command of H.M.S. Gipsey.1
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.1

Nigel John Crossley, son of Eric Crossley and Janet Boyd Merriman, on 17 March 1932.1 She married, thirdly, Captain Richard William Ravenhill, son of Captain Harold William Ravenhill, on 27 July 1957.1
     From before 1932, her married name became Winterbottom.1 From 17 March 1932, her married name became Crossley. From 27 July 1957, her married name became Ravenhill.1
