Brigadier Roger Crofton was born on 13 March 1888.1 He was the son of Malby Edward Crofton and Henrietta Moore.2 He married, firstly, Stella Clifton Carver, daughter of Thomas Gilbert Carver, on 28 November 1914.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Frances Hatchell, daughter of Colonel Henry Melville Hatchell, on 6 December 1921.2 He married, thirdly, Agnes Marjorie Osborn, daughter of Samuel Osborn, on 26 July 1954.1 He died on 4 May 1972 at age 84 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South AfricaG.1
