     Sophia Horsfall was the daughter of Thomas Horsfall.¹ She married Henry Bliss Crofton, son of Sir Malby Crofton, 2nd Bt. and Sarah Jane Parke, on 24 October 1856.¹ She died on 23 July 1901.¹
     From 24 October 1856, her married name became Crofton.¹

     Robert Archdale Palmer was born on 21 November 1930.¹ He was the son of Sir John Archdale Palmer, 7th Bt. and Kathleen Smith.² He married Rosalie Margaret Newell, daughter of Keith Monk Newell, on 26 January 1963.¹ He died on 24 September 2022 at age 91.³
     He was educated at Canford School, Wimborne, Dorset, England^G.¹ He graduated from St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland^G, in 1951 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in 1952 in the Royal Artillery.¹
He was with the Civil Service of Uganda between 1955 and 1962.¹ He was Senior Assistant Registrar between 1962 and 1989 at Birmingham University, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Dorhall Farm, Chaddesley Corbett, Worcestershire, England^G.¹

     Rosalie Margaret Newell is the daughter of Keith Monk Newell.² She married Robert Archdale Palmer, son of Sir John Archdale Palmer, 7th Bt. and Kathleen Smith, on 26 January 1963.¹
     From 26 January 1963, her married name became Palmer.

     Philip David Archdale Palmer was born on 7 January 1969.¹ He is the son of Robert Archdale Palmer and Rosalie Margaret Newell.² He married Alison Murray, daughter of John Howard Murray, in 1996.¹

     John Howard Murray lived at Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, England^G.¹

     Alison Murray is the daughter of John Howard Murray.² She married Philip David Archdale Palmer, son of Robert Archdale Palmer and Rosalie Margaret Newell, in 1996.¹
     From 1996, her married name became Palmer.

     David Henry Archdale Palmer was born on 7 April 2000.¹ He is the son of Philip David Archdale Palmer and Alison Murray.²

     John Elliot Murray Palmer was born on 7 August 2002.¹ He is the son of Philip David Archdale Palmer and Alison Murray.²

     Jeremy Frederick Mathews Palmer was born on 3 March 1972.¹ He is the son of Robert Archdale Palmer and Rosalie Margaret Newell.² He married Kathleen Hilda Stokes, daughter of Professor Michael Stokes, in 2002.¹
