John Nivison, 2nd Baron Glendyne was born on 14 March 1878.1 He was the son of Robert Nivison, 1st Baron Glendyne and Jane Wightman.2 He married Ivy May Rose, daughter of James Rose, in 1920.1 He died on 28 January 1967 at age 88.1
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG, Harrow.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Glendyne, of Sanquhar, co. Dumfries [U.K., 1922] on 14 June 1930.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Nivison, of Sanquhar, co. Dumfries [U.K., 1914] on 14 June 1930.1

Hon. Alexander Crighton Nivison was born on 21 June 1883.1 He was the son of Robert Nivison, 1st Baron Glendyne and Jane Wightman.2 He died on 17 August 1958 at age 75, unmarried.1

2nd Lieutenant Robert Butler Nivison was born on 7 June 1895.1 He was the son of Robert Nivison, 1st Baron Glendyne and Jane Wightman.2 He died on 15 September 1916 at age 21, killed in action.2
He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1

Hon. Helen Ingram Wightman Nivison is the daughter of Robert Nivison, 1st Baron Glendyne and Jane Wightman.2 She married Reverend Roderick Macleod, son of William Macleod, on 3 July 1909.1

Hon. Jessie Hair Nivison was the daughter of Robert Nivison, 1st Baron Glendyne and Jane Wightman.2 She married Alfred Norman Rickett, son of William Richard Rickett, on 8 February 1908.1 She died on 6 November 1965, leaving issue.1
