Philip Julian Curtis was born on 20 March 1838.1 He was the son of Sir William Curtis, 3rd Bt. and Georgina Maria Stratton.2 He married Margaret Helena Marie Candy, daughter of Charles Candy, on 7 December 1875 at London, England.1 He died on 19 July 1900 at age 62.1
