     He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He gained the rank of Captain in the Montgomery Imperial Yeomanry.² He gained the rank of Boer War in 1900.² He gained the rank of Major in the Royal West Surrey Regiment (TF.)¹ He fought in the First World War.² He was Principal Clerk of the Committee Office of the House of Commons between 1921 and 1930.⁴ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1927.²

     Annora Beatrice Williams-Wynn was born on 21 August 1911.² She was the daughter of Frederick Rowland Williams-Wynn and Beatrice Kathleen Cooper.² She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. David Sacheverell Curtis, son of Edward George Curtis and Ethel Coote, on 12 July 1935.¹ She and Lt.-Col. David Sacheverell Curtis were divorced in 1945.¹ She married, secondly, Charles George Gordon Wainman, son of Captain Philip Stafford Gordon Wainman, on 4 May 1945.² She died on 4 May 2001 at age 89.²
