     Henry Elliott Chevallier Kitchener, 2nd Earl Kitchener of Khartoum and of Broome was born on 5 October 1846.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Horatio Kitchener and Frances Anne Chevallier.² He married Eleanor Fanny Lushington, daughter of Lt.-Col. Franklin Lushington and Anne Dobrée Bainbrigge, on 9 October 1877.¹ He died on 27 March 1937 at age 90, without surviving issue.¹
     He fought in the Franco-Prussian War in 1870.¹ He fought in the Manipur Expedition in 1891, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He fought in the Burma War in 1891, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was depot commander of the West India Regiment between 1899 and 1903.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry.¹ He fought in the First World War, in South-Est Africa.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Broome, of Broome [U.K., 1914] on 5 June 1916.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Kitchener of Khartoum, and of the Vaal in the Colony of the Transvaal , and of Aspall, Suffolk [U.K., 1902] on 5 June 1916.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl Kitchener of Khartoum and of Broome, of Khartoum and of Broome, co. Kent [U.K., 1914] on 5 June 1916.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Denton, of Denton, co. Kent [U.K., 1914] on 5 June 1916.¹

     Eleanor Fanny Lushington was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Franklin Lushington and Anne Dobrée Bainbrigge.^2,3 She married Henry Elliott Chevallier Kitchener, 2nd Earl Kitchener of Khartoum and of Broome, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Horatio Kitchener and Frances Anne Chevallier, on 9 October 1877.² She died on 1 June 1898.²
     From 9 October 1877, her married name became Kitchener.¹

     Arthur Buck Kitchener was born in 1852.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Horatio Kitchener and Frances Anne Chevallier.² He married Edith Paterson, daughter of John Paterson, on 6 November 1898.¹ He died on 24 February 1907, without issue.¹

     Edith Paterson was the daughter of John Paterson.² She married Arthur Buck Kitchener, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Horatio Kitchener and Frances Anne Chevallier, on 6 November 1898.¹ She died on 13 January 1908.¹
     From 6 November 1898, her married name became Kitchener.³

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Frederick Walter Kitchener was born on 26 May 1858.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Horatio Kitchener and Frances Anne Chevallier.² He married Caroline Louisa Fenton, daughter of Major Charles Hamilton Fenton and Mary Isabella Salmon, on 27 November 1884 at Sealkote, India.^1,3 He died on 6 March 1912 at age 53.¹

     Caroline Louisa Fenton was born in 1857 at Barnsley, Lancashire, England.² She was the daughter of Major Charles Hamilton Fenton and Mary Isabella Salmon.^3,2 She married Lt.-Gen. Sir Frederick Walter Kitchener, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Horatio Kitchener and Frances Anne Chevallier, on 27 November 1884 at Sealkote, India.^1,2 She died on 3 November 1901.¹
     From 27 November 1884, her married name became Kitchener.¹

     Francis Sempill, 8th Lord Semphill was born circa 1660.¹ He was the son of Robert Sempill, 7th Lord Sempill and Anne Douglas.^1,2 He married Grizel Primrose, daughter of Sir Archibald Primrose, Lord Carrington and Agnes Gray, on 30 April 1681.³ He died on 4 April 1684, without issue.³
     He succeeded as the 8th Lord Sempill [S., 1488] on 8 September 1675.³ He was educated at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.³ He gained the rank of Captain in 1683 in the Lanarkshire Militia.³ He was Commissioner of Excise, Renfrew in 1683.³

     Isaac Vickers Cairney was born circa 1873.¹ He married Annie Thompson, daughter of George Thompson and Bridget Martin, in 1901 at New Zealand^G.¹ He died on 6 September 1910 at New Zealand^G.¹
