Brig.-Gen. Henry de Courcy O'Grady was born on 26 August 1873.1 He was the son of Standish de Courcy O'Grady and Isabella Shepherd.1 He married Annie Sybil Macpherson, daughter of Colonel Duncan Macpherson, on 3 February 1908.1 He died on 23 February 1949 at age 75.1
