     Joseph Edward Clucas was born on 20 May 1861.2,3 He was the son of Robert Clucas and Margaret Lace.3 He was christened on 26 May 1861 at Patrick, Isle of ManG.3 He married Mary Jane Hampton, daughter of Thomas Hampton and Sarah Jane Hampton, in 1904.1,4 He died on 22 March 1954 at age 92.2 He was buried at Greendale Public Cemetery, Greendale, Canterbury, New ZealandG, plot 149.2
