Sir James Gregan-Craufurd of Kilbirnie, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir James Gregan-Craufurd of Kilbirnie, 2nd Bt. was born on 11 October 1761.2 He was the son of Sir Alexander Craufurd of Kilbirnie, 1st Bt. and Jane Crokatt.2 He married Maria Theresa Gage, daughter of General Hon. Thomas Gage and Margaret Kemble, on 2 March 1792.2 He died on 9 July 1839 at age 77.2
     He was given the name of James Craufurd at birth.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Craufurd, of Kilbirney, Ayrshire [G.B., 1781] on 15 December 1797.2 In 1812 his name was legally changed to James Gregan-Craufurd by sign manual.2

Maria Theresa Gage1

     Maria Theresa Gage was the daughter of General Hon. Thomas Gage and Margaret Kemble.2,1 She married Sir James Gregan-Craufurd of Kilbirnie, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Alexander Craufurd of Kilbirnie, 1st Bt. and Jane Crokatt, on 2 March 1792.2 She died on 21 April 1832.2
     From 2 March 1792, her married name became Craufurd.

Lt.-Col. Alexander Charles Craufurd1

     Lt.-Col. Alexander Charles Craufurd was born on 30 June 1794.1 He was the son of Sir James Gregan-Craufurd of Kilbirnie, 2nd Bt. and Maria Theresa Gage.2 He married Lady Barbara Coventry, daughter of George William Coventry, 7th Earl of Coventry and Peggy Pitches, on 23 July 1818.2 He died on 12 March 1838 at age 43, without issue.1

Lady Barbara Coventry1

     Lady Barbara Coventry was the daughter of George William Coventry, 7th Earl of Coventry and Peggy Pitches.1 She married Lt.-Col. Alexander Charles Craufurd, son of Sir James Gregan-Craufurd of Kilbirnie, 2nd Bt. and Maria Theresa Gage, on 23 July 1818.1 She died on 4 September 1838.1
     From 23 July 1818, her married name became Craufurd.

Sir Robert Dashwood, 1st Bt.

     Sir Robert Dashwood, 1st Bt. was baptised on 6 November 1662.1 He was the son of George Dashwood and Margaret Perry.2 He married Penelope Chamberlayne, daughter of Reverend Sir Thomas Chamberlayne, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Prideaux, on 9 June 1682.1 He died on 14 July 1734 at age 71.3
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Oxford in 1683.1 He was created 1st Baronet Dashwood, of Northbrook, Oxfordshire [England] on 16 September 1684.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Banbury between 1689 and 1700.1 He lived at Northbrook, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1

     Penelope Chamberlayne was born circa 1663.2 She was the daughter of Reverend Sir Thomas Chamberlayne, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Prideaux.2 She married Sir Robert Dashwood, 1st Bt., son of George Dashwood and Margaret Perry, on 9 June 1682.3 She died in February 1734/35.3
     Oxon.3 She lived Wickham.3 In 1682 she inherited the estate of Northbrook.1 Her married name became Dashwood.

     Robert Dashwood was born at Kirtlington, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Sir Robert Dashwood, 1st Bt. and Penelope Chamberlayne.3 He married Dorothy Read, daughter of Sir James Reade, 2nd Bt. and Love Dring.1 He died on 29 September 1728, in the lifetime of the father.1

     Dorothy Read was born at Brocket Hall, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Sir James Reade, 2nd Bt. and Love Dring.3,4 She married Robert Dashwood, son of Sir Robert Dashwood, 1st Bt. and Penelope Chamberlayne.1 She died on 21 April 1753.1
     She inherited the Duns Tew estate.3 Her married name became Dashwood.
