He married, firstly, Joyce Florence Pointon on 31 October 1943. He married, secondly, Marjory Dawn Porter on 30 August 1997. He died on 30 August 2006 at age 85.¹

     Joyce Florence Pointon was born on 19 February 1922 at Te Kiri, Taranaki, New Zealand^G. She married Clive Sydney Chambers, son of George Ivey Chambers and Bertha Ellen Batchelor, on 31 October 1943. She died on 5 August 1994 at age 72 at Napier, New Zealand^G.
     From 31 October 1943, her married name became Chambers.

     Josephine Elizabeth Dooney was born on 7 May 1932 at Napier, New Zealand^G.
