Hon. Frederick Byron was born on 3 February 1822.1 He was the son of Admiral George Anson Byron, 7th Baron Byron of Rochdale and Elizabeth Mary Chandos-Pole.2 He married Mary Jane Wescomb, daughter of Reverend William Wescomb, on 19 August 1851.1 He died on 4 April 1861 at age 39.1

Frederick Byron and Mary Jane Wescomb.3 He married Fanny Lucy Radmall, daughter of Thomas Radmall and Maria Isabella Clark, on 1 March 1901 at All Souls, Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 30 March 1917 at age 61 at Thrumpton Hall, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG, without issue.1,4 He was buried on 3 April 1917 at Thrumpton, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.4

Fanny Lucy Radmall used the stage-name of Poppy.2 From 3 September 1883, her married name became Brinckman. After her marriage, Fanny Lucy Radmall was styled as Baroness Byron of Rochdale on 1 March 1901. From 1 March 1901, her married name became Byron. She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1917.3 From 12 December 1924, her married name became Houston. In 1931 she donated £100,000 to Supermarine, allowing them to win the Schneider Trophy in that year.2
