     Mariot Herries is the daughter of Robert Herries of Terregles.1 She married, secondly, Sir David Bruce, 6th of Clackmannan, son of John Bruce, 5th of Clackmannan and Elizabeth Stewart.1 She married, firstly, David Stewart, 3rd of Rosyth, son of Henry Stewart, 2nd of Rosyth and Marion Ogilvie.1
     Her married name became Stewart.1 Her married name became Bruce.1
