     Sir Gervase Clifton, 4th Bt. was the son of Robert Clifton and Sarah Parkhurst.2,3 He married Ann Bagenal, daughter of Colonel Dudley Bagenal and Ann Butler.1 He died on 27 February 1731.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Clifton, of Clifton, co. Nottingham [E., 1611]. He had fourteen other sons and one daughter.

     Beauchamp Bagenal was born circa 1735.1 He was the son of Walter Bagenal and Eleanor Beauchamp.1 He married Maria (?), she was a widow when they married.1 He died on 1 May 1802.1
     He matriculated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1753.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Carlow between 1770 and 1790, with interruptions.1 Sarah Westrop was the natural daughter and eventual heiress of Beauchamp Bagenal.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Graige Volunteers.1 He was a nationalist and libertarian, as well as bon viveur and a notorious duellist.1 He made provision for the lack of a direct male heir whereby Dunleckney and substantial property passed on her marriage settlement to his natural daughter.1 He lived at Dunleckney, Bagenalstown, County Carlow, IrelandG.1
