Colonel William Armstrong was born on 1 June 1688.2 He was the son of John Armstrong and Juliana Carew.1 He married Mary Heaton, daughter of Francis Heaton, on 6 March 1731.2 He died on 1 January 1767 at age 78, intestate.2

John Armstrong was the son of John Armstrong and Juliana Carew.1 A settlement for the marriage between him and Anne Blunt was made on 17 July 1740.1
He lived at Cork, County Cork, IrelandG.1 He was a merchant.1 He lived at Farney Castle, Farney Bridge, County Tipperary, IrelandG, which he leased from his brother William on 15 September 1731.1 He leased lands at Lisnacrogh, Holy Cross, Ballycahill, County Tipperary, IrelandG, in July 1741.1 July 1741 John Armstrong also leased lands at Rapine Park, Holy Cross, Ballycahill, County Tipperary, IrelandG.1 He leased further Farney Bridge and Ballyvesty, County Limerick, IrelandG, on 3 September 1755.1
