     Maj.-Gen. Rowland Broughton Mainwaring was born in 1850 at Whitmore, Staffordshire, England.² He was the son of Reverend Charles Henry Mainwaring and Jane Broughton.² He married Evelyn Jane Archdale, daughter of Captain Mervyn Edward Archdale and Emma Inez Goulding, on 4 August 1880 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England, this marriage produced no children.^1,2 He died on 22 November 1926.¹
     He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the 23rd Royal Welch Fusiliers.¹

     Georgina Emma Matilda Archdale was the daughter of Captain Mervyn Edward Archdale and Emma Inez Goulding.¹ She married Major John Gerard Christopher Irvine on 20 December 1886, they left issue.¹ She died on 14 August 1934.¹
     From 20 December 1886, her married name became Irvine.¹

     Major John Gerard Christopher Irvine married Georgina Emma Matilda Archdale, daughter of Captain Mervyn Edward Archdale and Emma Inez Goulding, on 20 December 1886, they left issue.¹ He died on 16 February 1938.¹
     He lived at Killadeas, County Fermanagh, Ireland^G.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Emily Mary Rebecca Maude was the daughter of Rev. Hon. John Charles Maude and Mary Cely Trevilian.^1,2 She married William Humphrys Mervyn Archdale, son of Edward Archdall and Matilda Humphrys, on 15 April 1845, they had no children.¹ She died on 27 October 1892.¹
     From 15 April 1845, her married name became Archdale.¹

     Louisa Charlotte Perceval was the daughter of Spencer Arthur Perceval and Marianne Dunnage.¹ She died on 31 March 1892, unmarried.¹

     Matilda Mary Alley was the daughter of William Alley.¹ She married William Humphrys Mervyn Archdale, son of Edward Archdall and Matilda Humphrys, on 28 February 1894, they had no children, they were cousins.¹ She died on 9 October 1916.¹
     From 28 February 1894, her married name became Archdale.¹

     William Alley lived at Artane, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Elizabeth Harwood was the daughter of Nicholas Harwood.¹ She married, firstly, Captain William Wingfield Clarke.¹ She married, secondly, Rt. Hon. Edward Archdale, son of Reverend Henry Montgomery Archdale and Sarah Elizabeth Blackwood-Price, on 22 January 1908, they did not have issue.¹ She died on 25 April 1918.¹
     Her married name became Clarke.¹ From 22 January 1908, her married name became Archdale.¹

     Captain William Wingfield Clarke married Elizabeth Harwood, daughter of Nicholas Harwood.¹ He died before 22 January 1908, when his widow remarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Leicester Regiment.¹

     Nicholas Harwood lived at H.M. Dockyard, Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire, Wales^G.¹
