Jane Butler was the daughter of Richard Butler.2 She married, firstly, James FitzGerald, Lord Villiers, son of John FitzGerald, 1st and last Earl Grandison and Frances Cary, on 10 July 1728.1 She married, secondly, Lucius Charles Cary, 7th Viscount of Falkland, son of Lucius Henry Cary, 6th Viscount of Falkland and Dorothy Molyneux, on 16 April 1734.2 She died on 20 December 1751.2
From 10 July 1728, her married name became FitzGerald. After her marriage, Jane Butler was styled as Viscountess Falkland on 16 April 1734. From 16 April 1734, her married name became Cary.

Lucius Charles Cary, 7th Viscount of Falkland was the son of Lucius Henry Cary, 6th Viscount of Falkland and Dorothy Molyneux.1 He married, firstly, Jane Butler, daughter of Richard Butler, on 16 April 1734.2 He married, secondly, Sarah Inwen, daughter of Thomas Inwen, on 10 October 1752.2 He died on 27 February 1785.2

Waterford [Ireland] on 10 April 1746.1 From 15 February 1763, her married name became Halifax.
