     Jane Hardie Walker was the daughter of Major James Walker.¹ She married Thomas Andrews, son of Thomas John Andrews and Elizabeth R. Stevenson, on 18 September 1842.¹ She died on 29 November 1899.¹
     From 18 September 1842, her married name became Andrews.¹

     Major James Walker gained the rank of Major in the 42nd Royal Highlanders.¹

     Lt.-Col. James Walker Andrews was born on 18 December 1845.¹ He was the son of Thomas Andrews and Jane Hardie Walker.¹ He married Emily Allfrey, daughter of Frederick William Allfrey, on 21 June 1877.¹ He died on 21 March 1926 at age 80.¹
     He was educated at Belfast Academy, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland^G.¹ He was commissioned in 1868.¹ He fought in the Afghan War between 1878 and 1880, as the Brigrade Major.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Devonshire Regiment.¹ He retired from the military in 1891.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Bantony, Robertsbridge, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Emily Allfrey was the daughter of Frederick William Allfrey.¹ She married Lt.-Col. James Walker Andrews, son of Thomas Andrews and Jane Hardie Walker, on 21 June 1877.¹ She died on 19 February 1944.¹
     From 21 June 1877, her married name became Andrews.¹

     Frederick William Allfrey was the son of Edward Allfrey.
     He lived at Bantony, Robertsbridge, Sussex, England^G, formerly.¹ He lived at Stanbury, Reading, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Thomas Frederick Andrews was born on 16 October 1887.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Walker Andrews and Emily Allfrey.¹ He died on 28 February 1960 at age 72.¹
     He fought in the First World War, with the Australian Forces.¹

     Captain James Allfrey Andrews was born on 20 April 1890.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Walker Andrews and Emily Allfrey.¹ He died on 1 July 1916 at age 26 while leading an attack as second in command on Ovillers-la-Boiselle, Somme, France^G, killed in action, unmarried.¹ He was buried at Serre Road Cemetery No. 2, Somme, France^G.²
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Battalion, Devonshire Regiment.¹ He fought in the Battle of the Somme on 1 July 1916 at Ovillers-la-Boiselle, Somme, France^G.¹

     George Moubray Andrews was born on 23 January 1892.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Walker Andrews and Emily Allfrey.¹ He married Jane Mackeson, daughter of John Mackeson, in January 1915.¹
     He emigrated to Canada^G arriving in 1912.¹ As of 1976, George Moubray Andrews lived at 769 East 25th Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada^G.¹

     Jane Mackeson is the daughter of John Mackeson.¹ She married, firstly, Isaac Matthie.¹ She married, secondly, George Moubray Andrews, son of Lt.-Col. James Walker Andrews and Emily Allfrey, in January 1915.¹
     Her married name became Matthie.¹ From January 1915, her married name became Andrews.¹
