     Hew Seton Montgomerie was born on 23 June 1898.¹ He was the son of Roger Arnulph Montgomerie and Annie Mason.² He married Violet Muriel Rait, daughter of Donald Harry Rait, in 1938.¹ He died on 12 August 1969 at age 71.²
     He fought in the First World War.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Sherwood Foresters.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)      Annie Hylda Winifred Montgomerie was born on 24 May 1894.¹ She was the daughter of Roger Arnulph Montgomerie and Annie Mason.² She died on 21 February 1970 at age 75, unmarried.¹
     Annie Hylda Winifred Montgomerie usually went by her middle name of Winifred.²
