     Emma Alexander was born on 23 November 1818.¹ She was the daughter of James Alexander and Charlotte Sophia Dashwood.¹ She died in 1843, unmarried.¹

     Joseph Josias Du Pré Alexander was born in 1771.¹ He was the son of Robert Alexander and Anne McCullogh.¹ He married Mary Bracken, daughter of Reverend Thomas Bracken, on 1 February 1808.¹ He died on 20 August 1839.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Old Sarum.¹ He was Director, East India Company (E.I.C.)¹

     Mary Bracken was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Bracken.¹ She married Joseph Josias Du Pré Alexander, son of Robert Alexander and Anne McCullogh, on 1 February 1808.¹ She died on 13 November 1868.¹
     From 1 February 1808, her married name became Alexander.¹

     Captain Caledon Du Pré Alexander was born on 16 November 1817.¹ He was the son of Joseph Josias Du Pré Alexander and Mary Bracken.¹ He married Caroline Ewing, daughter of James Ewing, on 11 March 1843.¹ He died on 18 July 1884 at age 66.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Life Guards.¹ He lived at Auberies, Essex, England^G.¹

     Caroline Ewing was the daughter of James Ewing.¹ She married Captain Caledon Du Pré Alexander, son of Joseph Josias Du Pré Alexander and Mary Bracken, on 11 March 1843.¹ She died on 15 December 1851.¹
     From 11 March 1843, her married name became Alexander.¹

     Captain Caledon James Alexander was the son of Captain Caledon Du Pré Alexander and Caroline Ewing.¹ He married Nina Stewart Wood, daughter of Colonel Sir John Stewart Wood, on 17 September 1874, without children.¹ He died on 21 September 1874.¹

     Nina Stewart Wood was the daughter of Colonel Sir John Stewart Wood.¹ She married Captain Caledon James Alexander, son of Captain Caledon Du Pré Alexander and Caroline Ewing, on 17 September 1874, without children.¹
     From 17 September 1874, her married name became Alexander.¹

     Colonel Sir John Stewart Wood was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹
