Charles Latham, 1st Baron Latham was born on 26 December 1888.1 He was the son of George Latham and Sarah Mason.2 He married, firstly, Maya Helen Allman, daughter of Louis George Allman, on 14 June 1913.1 He and Maya Helen Allman were divorced in 1957.1 He married, secondly, Sylvia May Newmark, daughter of Alexander Newmark, on 28 May 1957.1 He died on 31 March 1970 at age 81.1
He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Sussex Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was President of the National Union of Clerks in 1915.1 He was a certified accountant.1 He held the office of Alderman of the London County Council between 1928 and 1934.1 He was member of the Public Works Loan Board between 1930 and 1946.1 He was member of the Economy (‘May') Committee in 1931, appointed by the Chancellor of the Exchequer.1 He was created 1st Baron Latham, of Hendon, co. William Corry, 2nd Bt. was born on 20 March 1859.1 He was the son of Sir James Porter Corry, 1st Bt. and Margaret Service.2 He married Charlotte Georgina Frances Catherine Collins, daughter of J. Collins, on 31 October 1889.1 He died on 9 June 1926 at age 67.1
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Corry, of Dunraven, co. Antrim [U.K., 1885] on 28 November 1891.1 He was director of the Cunard Steamship Company.1
