     John Southwell Brown was born on 9 March 1794.2 He was the son of Lieutenant John Southwell Brown and Mary Gordon.3 He married Margaret Anne Vesey, daughter of General John Agmondisham Vesey and Margaret Reynett, on 22 July 1817.1 He died in 1872.2
     He lived at Mount Brown, County Limerick, IrelandG.1 He gained the rank of officer in the 10th Hussars.2
