     Charles A. Clarke lived at Kingstown, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Richard Albert Hamon Massy was born on 17 November 1899.^1,2 He was the son of George Godfrey Hamon Massy and Florence Caroline Clarke.¹ He died on 24 January 1926 at age 26 at Khyber Pass, Afghanistan, by suicide, while temporarily insane.^2,3 He was buried on 25 January 1926 at Peshawar Cemetery, Peshawar, Pakistan.³
     He was educated between 1909 and 1917 at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.² He was commissioned on 16 December 1918 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, in the service of the Indian Army.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 16 December 1924.² He lived at Kingswell House, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.¹
