Thomas Anthony Denny was born on 2 April 1818.2 He was the son of Henry Denny.1 He married, secondly, Mary Jane Noel, daughter of Rev. Hon. Baptist Wriothesley Noel and Jane Baillie, on 23 April 1868.3 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Reid Cotton, daughter of General Sir Arthur Thomas Cotton and Elizabeth Learmonth, on 27 September 1893.1 He died on 25 December 1909 at age 91.1
