Amelia Hopkinson was the daughter of Luke Hopkinson and Elizabeth Wrightson.2 She married John Henry Briggs, son of Sir John Thomas Briggs and Frances Lewis, on 27 January 1841.1 She died in 1888.1

General Sir Charles Hopkinson was born on 14 September 1783.1 He was the son of Benjamin Hopkinson and Mary Gresley.2 He died on 17 December 1864 at age 81, unmarried.1
