     Denys Maida Hanmer West was born on 14 June 1901.² She was the daughter of Augustus William West and Fanny Madeline Jane Hanmer.^3,1 She married Sir Richard St. John Jefferyes Colthurst, 8th Bt., son of Sir George St. John Colthurst, 6th Bt. and Edith Jane Thomasina Morris, on 3 February 1927.¹ She died on 25 July 1966 at age 65.¹
     From 3 February 1927, her married name became Colthurst.¹
