Thomas Archer Colt was born on 29 December 1851.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Archer Colt, 7th Bt. and Frances Chadwick.2 He married, firstly, Mabel Marion Aileen Nicholson, daughter of Reverend H. L. Nicholson, on 27 June 1881.1 He and Mabel Marion Aileen Nicholson were divorced in 1895.1 He married, secondly, Annie Mercy Kennett, daughter of William Kennett, in 1897.1 He died on 23 April 1930 at age 78.1
He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)1 He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh (L.R.C.P.)1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.1

Lt.-Col. Sir Henry Archer Colt, 9th Bt. was born on 16 September 1882.1 He was the son of Thomas Archer Colt and Mabel Marion Aileen Nicholson.2 He married Louisa May Whitaker, daughter of Joseph Edward Whitaker, in 1927.1 He died on 10 February 1951 at age 68, without issue.1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in 1922 in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was severely wounded, and was mentioned in despatches twice.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 12th Battalion, Gloustershire Regiment.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was Area Commander of the Ulster Special Constabulary of County Tyrone
