     Margaret Long was the daughter of Peter Long.1 She married, firstly, James O'Brien, son of Torlogh O'Brien and Eleanor O'Hogan, in February 1791.1 She married, secondly, Cornelius O'Brien after 1806.1 She died in 1839.1
     From February 1791, her married name became O'Brien.1

James O'Brien1

     James O'Brien was born in 1806.1 He was the son of James O'Brien and Margaret Long.1 He married Margaret Segrave, daughter of Thomas Segrave, in 1836.1 He died in 1882.1
     He was admitted to King's Inn in 1830 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1841.1 He was a practising Serjeant in 1848.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Limerick between 1854 and 1858.1 He held the office of Judge of the Queen's Bench [Ireland] in 1858.1
